“Lilac Afterlight” is inspired by the moment after sunset when pink and violet tones linger over the landscape. Veils of mauve, cream and soft yellow drift around deeper passages of crimson, burgundy and black, crossed by fine drawn lines and translucent layers. The painting was created in my studio in 2026 as part of a series exploring shifting light, weather and memory, pairing warm, fiery notes with cooler pastel afterglow.
