“Mosswood Reverie” is an abstract glimpse of a mossy woodland reflected in still water, suspended somewhere between memory and myth. Layers of soft greens, muted earth tones and veils of light suggest trunks, undergrowth and ripples without ever fully fixing them in place, inviting the eye to wander and decide what it is seeing.
Rather than depicting a specific forest, the painting leans into atmosphere: the hush of shaded paths, the dark mirror of a pool, the way colour deepens where moss meets water. Hints of structure sit under looser, more intuitive marks, echoing that balance of controlled chaos and wild edges that runs through much of this work.
Viewed from a distance, the piece reads as a calm, landscape; up close, the surface breaks apart into fine shifts of tone, small interruptions and traces of earlier decisions left visible in the paint.
